BERMUDA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT

BERNARD PARK REGULATIONS 1958
[made under section 17 of the Public Works Department Act 1930 [repealed] and brought into operation on 12 August 1958]
ARRANGEMENT OF REGULATIONS

Interpretation
1 In these Regulations—
"auxiliary bicycle" has the meaning given in the Auxiliary Bicy cles Act 1954 [title 21 item 7];
"the Park" means Bernard Park;
"plant" includes any shrub, vine, and palm; and
"vehicle" includes any motor-car, wagon, carriage, cart, trailer, auxiliary bicycle, bicycle, or other conveyance which is used for the transportation of passengers, animals, goods or other loads.
Offences
2 Any person who, in the Park—
(a) is improperly or indecently dressed; or
(b) leaves, throws away, or deposits any bottle, can, recep tacle, paper, garbage, rubbish, litter, derelict article or offensive matter; or
(c) drives, rides, or propels any vehicle on to a grassed area for any purpose whatsoever; or
(d) pushes, rolls or moves any box, puncheon, hogshead, barrel or other large package; or
(e) leaves or places wholly or partly on any roadway any thing calculated to endanger or obstruct any vehicle or pedestrian; or
(f) tethers any animal, or causes or allows any animal to roam; or
(g) breaks, destroys, climbs, marks, picks, uproots or oth erwise injures any plant, flower or bulb; or
(h) damages, destroys, uproots, or otherwise injures any turf or grass; or
(i) breaks, destroys, climbs, marks, uproots, removes or otherwise damages any guard, fence, rail, notice, sign, light standard or other device or structure; or
(j) drinks any intoxicating liquor; or
(k) plays any ball game to the annoyance or danger of any person,
commits an offence against these Regulations, and shall be liable to prosecution under the Department of Works and Engineering Act 1984 [title 19 item 1]
