CRIMINAL INJURIES (COMPENSATION) RULES 1974
[made under section 18 of the Criminal Injuries (Compensation) Act 1973 [title 13 item 13 and brought into operation on 16 November 1974]

How application is to be made
1 Every application will be made to the Board in writing as soon as possible after the event on a form obtainable from the Board's office.
Notice of date for hearing
2 The applicant and the Attorney-General will be given notice by the Board's Secretary of the date set for hearing.
Attorney-General's case
3 At least 14 days before the hearing notice of the nature and sub stance of any case to be presented by way of opposition to the applicant's claim shall be given by the Attorney-General.
Service of documents
4 Any document required to be served for the purposes of this Act of this Rule shall be served by delivering the same to the person on whom service is to be made personally or by mail to some adult inmate at the usual or last known place of abode or business.
