Interpretation
1 For the purposes of this Act—
"coral reef preserve" means an area designated as such under this Act;
"marine fauna or flora" means all marine fauna or flora whether alive or dead which are attached to the coast, the sea-bed or any reef
Designation of coral reef preserves
2 The waters specified in the Schedule, and the sea-bed thereun der, shall be coral reef preserves.
Prohibition of removal of marine fauna or flora
3 (1) No person shall remove or wilfully damage or wilfully impair the growth of any marine fauna or flora in a coral reef preserve.
(2) No person shall have in his possession or custody any ma rine fauna or flora removed from a coral reef preserve.
(3) Any person who contravenes this section commits an of fence:
Punishment on summary conviction: a fine of $480 or imprisonment for 6 six months or both such fine and imprisonment.
Saving of rights of Crown
4 Nothing in this Act shall prejudice any right of the Crown in re lation to a coral reef preserve or to any submarine areas or property therein.
Deposit of plans of coral reef preserves
5 (1) There shall be deposited with the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries a map delineating the coral reef preserves signed by the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries.
(2) In any proceedings under this Act a copy of the map de posited with the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries certified to be a true copy thereof by the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries shall be re ceivable in evidence and shall be prima facie evidence of the boundaries of the coral reef preserves.
Saving of existing rights

SCHEDULE
North Shore Coral Reef Preserve
All that area bounded—
(a) on the South, by a straight line drawn in a direction East true from the most northerly extremity of Commis sioner's House on Ireland Point; and
(b) on the West, by the meridian of 64 degrees 50 minutes West; and
(c) on
the North, by the northern limit of the reefs of
Bermuda; and
(d) on the East, by the meridian of 64 degrees 45 minutes west.
South Shore Coral Reef Preserve
All that area bounded by—
(a) the mean high water mark of the south shore of Bermuda; and
(b) a straight line drawn between the most southerly ex tremity of the eastern arm of Hungry Bay and the most southerly extremity of Gurnet Rock; and
(c) a straight line drawn from the most southerly extremity of Gurnet Rock and the most southerly extremity of Castle Island, and extended to the south shore.
