Fines to be paid to Accountant-General
1 In all cases in which by any Act of the Legislature of Bermuda, either already passed or hereafter to be passed, any fine, forfeiture or penalty has been or may be imposed, but the Act imposing the same fails or omits to declare or enact to whom the same shall be payable, then all such fines, forfeitures and penalties, unless the Act imposing the same shall otherwise order, shall be paid to the Accountant-General to the use of Her Majesty, Her heirs and successors, for and towards the support of the Government, and as part of the Consolidated Fund.
Governor may remit fines
2 In
all cases in which any fine, forfeiture or penalty is or may be imposed by or
under the authority of any Act of the Legislature
either already passed or
hereafter to be passed, the Governor shall have power to remit such fine,
forfeiture or penalty either
in whole or in part, and either absolutely or
conditionally, whether the same is payable in whole or in part only into the
Consolidated
Fund or to any informer or to any other person or persons or
corporation or otherwise, unless by the Act
imposing or authorizing such fine, forfeiture or penalty it is otherwise
ordered.
