HOSPITAL INSURANCE (PORTABILITY OF SUBSIDY) REGU LATIONS 1973

[made under section 40 of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970 [title 18 item 9] and brought into operation on 1 August 1973]

Limitation of payment of subsidy

1 (1) Subsidy shall not be payable under section 3 of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970 [title 18 item 9] in respect of treatment in an ap proved hospital —

(a) for in-patient treatment of any particular disability for any period in excess of 45 days; or

(b) for cost of transportation to or from the approved hos pital.

(2) In this Regulation "approved hospital" means a hospital outside Bermuda which —

(a) is licensed or approved as a hospital by the government hospitals authority in whose jurisdiction the hospital is located; and

(b) is approved by the Commission for the purposes of the Act.
