Interpretation
1 In this Act —
"the principal
Act" means the Liquor Licence Act 1974 [title 10 item 6];
"Airport
Licence" means a licence granted under section 2;
"the Civil
Airport" means the Bermuda Airport as defined in the Civil Airports Act
1949 [title 23 item 1];
"the licensing
authority" means the licensing authority for the Eastern District
appointed under the principal Act;
"Restaurant
Licence" means a Restaurant Licence for the sale of intoxicating liquor
granted under the principal Act.
Airport liquor
licence
2 Subject to this Act, the licensing
authority may grant a licence (to be called an Airport Licence) authorizing the
sale of intoxicating
liquor on such part of the premises forming part of the
Civil Airport as may be specified in the licence.
Application of
principal Act
3 Subject to the modifications specified
in section 4, the principal Act shall apply to an Airport Licence in every
respect as if
it were a Restaurant Licence, and as if the holder of an Airport
Licence were the holder of a Restaurant Licence, and as if the
premises in
respect of which an Airport Licence is in force were premises in respect of
which a Restaurant Licence is in force.
Modifications
of principal Act
4 (1) Section
9(2) of the principal Act (which relates to the form of a Restaurant Licence)
shall not apply to an Airport Licence, which
shall be in such form as the
licensing authority may approve.
(2) Section 17(1)(b) of the principal Act (which
relates to the transfer to other premises of a licence granted in respect of
certain
premises) shall have effect in relation to an Airport Licence as if,
for the words "within the same district" there were
substituted the
words "appurtenant to the Civil Airport".
(3) Section 18(4) of the principal Act (which
relates to condi tions of a Restaurant Licence) shall not apply to an Airport
Licence.
(4) The Second Schedule to the principal Act
shall have effect in relation to an Airport Licence as if for the fee of $1,000
in respect
of a Restaurant Licence there were substituted a fee of $1,800.

Operation of
licence by person other than Minister
5 If at any time the Minister charged
with responsibility for air transportation services decides not to undertake
the operation of
the li censed premises in the Civil Airport, he may agree with
any other person for the operation by him of the licensed premises.
