BERMUDA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT

THE MARINE BOARD (SEABORNE SERVICES) REGULATIONS 1997

[made under section 97 of the Marine Board Act 1962 [title 22 item 3] and brought into operation on 25 July 1997]

Citation and commencement

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Marine Board (Seaborne Services) Regulations 1997 and shall come into operation on the date of publication in the Gazette.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations "Seaborne Services" means services performed by the Minister pursuant to section 97 of the Marine Board Act 1962.[title 22 item 3]

Rate of Dues

3 Dues payable in respect of Seaborne Services provided by the Minister shall be calculated as set out in the Schedule hereto.

Revokes B.R. No. 10 of 1995

4 The Marine Board (Seaborne Services) Regulations 1995 are revoked.

PART I

Notes

Where a vessel has been hired continuously for a period exceeding twenty-four hours the Authority may reduce the rate in respect of the period exceeding twenty-four hours by an amount not exceeding ten per centum.

Tender Service to cruise ships are subject to a minimum of—

(a) three round trips for the first twelve hour period; and

(b) five round trips in any twenty-four hour period

Except in the case of dues specified in Part IV of the Schedule, all charges are subject to a 100 per centum surcharge—

(a) on Saturday, Sundays and public holidays; and

(b) between 1630 hours and 0800 hours on normal working days.
