BERMUDA STATUTORY
INSTRUMENT
SR&O 22/1976
NATURE RESERVES
(TERN NESTING AREAS) ORDER 1976
[made under the
Protection of Birds Act 1975 [title 25 item 19] and brought into operation on 1
March 1975]
Certain islets to be nature reserves
1 (1) The
lands, being lands the property of the Government or in the ownership of
persons who have consented to the making of this Or
der, and consisting largely
of unnamed islets located in Harrington Sound, the Great Sound and Hamilton
Harbour which are used
as breeding and nesting areas by the common tern, Sterna hirundo, and which are marked on
ordnance maps deposited by the Minister with the Registrar-General and thereon
circled in red, are hereby
declared to be nature reserves.
(2) Certified copies of the ordnance maps mentioned
in para graph (1) shall be deposited at the office of the Department in the
Botanical
Gardens, the Department of Marine and Ports Services and the
Department of Works and Engineering and the copies so deposited shall
be made
available for inspection by any person free of charge at any time when such
offices are open to the public.
