AN ACT TO AMEND |

THE BUSINESS LICENCE ACT |

Enacted by the Parliament of The Bahamas. |

1.
This Act may be cited as the
Business Licence (Amendment) Act, 2003.
|
Short title. |

2.
Section 3 of this Act as it
relates to non-life assurances policies shall take effect on the
1st day of October, 2003, and with respect
to life assurance
policies shall take effect on the 1st day of January, 2004.

Commencement of section 3. |
|
|
3.
Subsection (2) of section 8 of
the Business Licence Act is amended by the deletion of the words "a
fee of two per cent" and the substitution
therefor of the words "a
fee of three per cent".
