BEACH WARDENS (CONTINUOUS SERVICE) (NO.

2) ACT

An Act to provide for the continuous service of beach wardens in the Department of Tourism, The Police Department and the Royal Bahamas Police Force

[Assent 27th December, 2007] [Commencement 28th December, 2007]

1. This Act may be cited as the Beach Wardens (Continuous Service) (No. 2) Act and shall be read and construed as one with the Police Act.

2. Notwithstanding subsection (1) of section 66 of the Police Act, in computing the period of service in respect of which the officers listed in the Schedule may be eligible for a grant of a pension or gratuity, the period 1st July, 1993 to 22nd July, 1996 served by the officers as beach wardens in the Department of Tourism and in the Police Department respectively shall be taken into account and deemed a period of good and efficient service
continuous with the period of service of the officers as enlisted members of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
