KENDAL LEWIS (CONTINUOUS SERVICE) (NO. 2) ACT

An Act to provide for the continuous service in the public service of Kendal Lewis in the Department of Tourism, The Police Department and the Royal Bahamas Police Force

[Assent 27th December, 2007] [Commencement 28th December, 2007]

1. This Act may be cited as the Kendal Lewis (Continuous Service) (No. 2) Act and shall be read and construed as one with the Police Act.

2. Notwithstanding subsection (1) of section 66 of the Police Act, in computing the period of service in respect of which Kendal Lewis may be eligible for a grant of a pension or gratuity, the period 26th October, 1979 to
22nd July, 1996 served by him in the Department of
Tourism and in the Police Department respectively shall be
taken into account and deemed a period of good and
efficient service continuous with the period of service of
Kendal Lewis as an enlisted member of the Royal Bahamas
Police Force.
