Tariff (Amendment) Act, 2005

AN ACT TO AMEND THE TARIFF ACT

[Date of Assent : - 30th June, 2005]

Enacted by the Parliament of The Bahamas.
1.
This Act may be cited as the Tariff (Amendment) Act, 2005.

Short title.
2.
The First Schedule to the Tariff Act is amended -

Amends

First Schedule to Act No. 5 of 2003.
(a)
by deleting the words "35%" appearing in the column Rate of Duty corresponding to the Tariff Trade No. "4810.9900" and substituting therefor the words "10%";
(b)
by inserting immediately after Tariff Trade No. "4911.9920" the following -

"Tariff Heading

lb." ;
(c)
by deleting the words "35%" appearing in the column Rate of Duty corresponding to the Tariff Trade No. "6506.1000" and substituting therefor the words "Duty Free";
(d)
by deleting the words "35%" appearing in the column Rate of Duty corresponding to the Tariff Trade No.'s "8502.1100"; "8502.1200"; "8502.1300" and "8502.2000" and substituting therefor the words 10%; and
(e)
by deleting the words "35%" appearing in the column Rate of Duty corresponding to the Tariff Trade No. "8541.4000" and substituting therefor the words "Duty Free".
