HAWKSBILL CREEK, GRAND BAHAMA (DEEP WATER HARBOUR AND INDUSTRIAL AREA)

This Order shall be cited as the Hawksbill Creek, Grand Bahama (Deep Water Harbour and Industrial Area) Port Area Order, 1959.
(Order in Council under Clause 2(18) of the Agreement)
[Commencement 20th June, 1959]
WHEREAS under the provisions of paragraph (b) of subclause (13) of clause 1 of the Agreement dated the fourth day of August,
A.D., 1955 and recorded in the Registry of Records of the Colony in Book 8 (New Series) at pages 447 to 479 The Grand Bahama
Port Authority, Limited, covenanted as follows:
To supply the Colonial Secretary within three years and six months from the date of the said Agreement with proper survey
plans of —
Fifty thousand acres of Crown land, eighty acres of land purchased from private owners, and such parts of fourteen hundred and twenty
acres of land as shall have been purchased by the Port Authority from private owners within three years from the date of the
said Agreement.
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (b) of subclause (13) of clause 1 of the said Agreement The Grand Bahama Port
Authority, Limited, on the 29th day of January, A.D., 1959 supplied the Colonial Secretary with proper survey plans of the
following areas being the remainder of fifty thousand acres of Crown Land, and eighty acres and fourteen hundred and twenty
acres of land purchased by the Port Authority from private owners within three years from the date of the Agreement
hereinbefore referred to —
(1) All that parcel of Crown Land containing two thousand one hundred and forty-six and fifty-five hun- dredths acres situate on
the west bank of Hawksbill Creek as shown delineated on that part which is outlined in pink on Sheet 2 of 10 (Plan No. 54), being
one of the aforesaid plans hereinbefore referred to and filed with the Colonial Secretary.

(2) All those parcels of private lands containing two hundred and forty-six acres situate at the mouth of and on the western bank
of Hawksbill Creek as shown delineated on those parts which are coloured in yellow on Sheet 2 of
10 (Plan No. 54), being one of the aforesaid plans hereinbefore referred to and filed with the Colonial Secretary.
(3) All that portion of the bed of Hawksbill Creek containing ninety-two acres; more or less, as shown delineated on that
part which is coloured purple on Sheet 2 of 10 (Plan No. 54), being one of the aforesaid plans hereinbefore referred
to and filed with the Colonial Secretary.
(4) Alt that parcel of Crown Land containing sixty- seven and forty-five hundredths acres situate on a cay in the northern estuary
of Hawksbill Creek as shown delineated on that part which is coloured grey on Sheet 5 of
10 (Plan No. 30), being one of the aforesaid plans hereinbefore referred to and filed with the Colonial Secretary.
(5) All those parcels of private lands containing five hundred and thirty-four and ninety-three hundredths acres situate in the
area between Hawksbill Creek and the Settlement of Smith’s Point as shown delineated on those parts which are coloured in
yellow on Sheet 5 of 10 (Plan No. 30) excluding the area of one hundred and fourteen and fifty-seven hundredths acres hatched in
red lines, being one of the aforesaid plans hereinbefore referred to and filed with the Colonial Secretary.
(6) All those parcels of private lands containing four hundred and thirty-nine and sixty-three hundredths acres situate in the area
between the Settlement of Smith’s Point and Gold Rock Creek as shown delineated on those parts which are coloured in yellow on
Sheet 6 of 1 (Plan No.
44), Sheet 7 of 10 (Plan No. 45), Sheet 8 of 10 (Plan No.
46A) and Sheet 9 of 10 (Plan No. 48), being four of the
aforesaid plans hereinbefore referred to and filed with the
Colonial Secretary.
(7) All those parcels of Crown Lands containing one thousand two hundred and forty-one acres situate in the area between Gold
Rock Creek and Big Pelican Point as shown delineated on those parts which are coloured in pink on Sheet 10 of 10 (Plan No. 89), being
one of the aforesaid plans hereinbefore referred to and filed with the Colonial Secretary.

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to the provisions of subclause (18) of clause 2 of the said Agreement the Governor by and with the
advice of the Executive Council hereby declares the said lands delineated on such survey plans to be a part of the Port Area within
the meaning of the said Agreement.
This Order shall be cited as the Hawksbill Creek, Grand Bahama (Deep Water Harbour and Industrial Area) Port Area No. 2 Order,
1959.
(Order in Council under Clause 2(18) of the Agreement)

WHEREAS under the provisions of paragraph (b) of subclause (13) of clause 1 of the Agreement recorded in the Registry of Records
of the Colony in Book 8 (New Series) at pages 447 to 479 The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited, covenanted as follows:
To supply the Colonial Secretary within three years and six months from the date of the said Agreement with proper survey plans of

Authority, Limited, on the 30th day of October 1958 supplied the Colonial Secretary with a proper survey plan of twenty-six
thousand three hundred and eighteen acres being a part of the said fifty thousand acres of Crown Land.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to the provisions of subclause (18) of clause 2 of the said Agreement the Governor by and with the
advice of the Executive Council
