THE INTERPRETATION AND GENERAL CLAUSES ACT

(CHAPTER 2)

SUMMER TIMES DECLARATION

(EXTENSION OF DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME) ORDER, 2006

The Governor-General in exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Interpretation and General Clauses Act makes the following Order -

1.
This Order may be cited as the Summer Time Declaration (Extension of Daylight Saving Time) Order, 2006 and shall come into operation on the 11th day of March, 2007.

Citation and commencement.

2.
It is hereby declared that, the period of summer time shall commence at two o'clock a.m. on the morning of the second Sunday in March each year and shall expire at two o'clock a.m. on the morning of the first Sunday in November of each year.

Ch. 2 Period of summer time.

3.
The Summer Time Declaration Order, 1986, is hereby revoked.

Revocation S.I. 43 of 1986.
