THE TUGS AND TENDERS

(FEES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 2003

The Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Port Authorities Act, makes the following Order -
1.
This Order may be cited as the Tugs and Tenders (Fees) (Amendment) Order, 2003.

Citation.
2.
Paragraph 13 of the Schedule to the Tugs and Tenders (Fees) Order is amended -

Amendment of Schedule to Sub. Leg. Vol. IV, Ch. 269-14.
(a)
by the deletion of subparagraph (1) and the substitution therefor of the following -
"(1)
Assisting ships to and from dock for each service in respect of -

(a)

a ship of less than 5,000 gross tons :

$300.00

(b)

a ship of 5,000 gross tons or more but less than 7,000 gross tons :

$306.00

(c)

a ship of 7,000 gross tons or more but less than 8,000 gross tons :

$325.00

(d)

a ship of 8,000 gross tons or more but less than 9,000 gross tons :

$344.00

(e)

a ship of 9,000 gross tons or more but less than 10,000 gross tons :

$350.00

(f)

a ship of 10,000 gross tons or more but less than 12,000 gross tons :

$369.00

(g)

a ship of 12,000 gross tons or more but less than 14,000 gross tons :

$465.00

(h)

a ship of 14,000 gross tons or more but less than 16,000 gross tons :

$525.00

(i)

a ship of 16,000 gross tons or more but less than 18,000 gross tons :

$560.00

(j)

a ship of 18,000 gross tons or more but less than 20,000 gross tons :

$650.00

(k)

a ship of 20,000 gross tons or more but less than 22,000 gross tons :

$718.00

(l)

a ship of 22,000 gross tons or more but less than 25,000 gross tons :

$788.00

(m)

a ship of 25,000 gross tons or more but less than 30,000 gross tons :

$875.00

(n)

a ship of 30,000 gross tons or more :


$875.00 plus $50.00 for every additional 1,000 gross tons or part therefor, in excess of 30,000 gross tons.
(b)
by the insertion immediately after subparagraph (4) of the following subparagraphs -
"(5)
For each service performed at Clifton Pier, South-west New Providence, involving -

(a)

a tug of 3,500 h.p. or less the fees shall be

$6,000.00

(b)

a tug of more than 3,500 h.p. the fees shall be

$8,000.00
(6)
Lay Time (Standing by but not being used)

Clifton Pier

$500.00 per hr

Nassau Harbour

$ 250.00 per hr

(7)

For leasing of the government tugs, the fees payable shall be twenty-five cents per gross ton on services supplied on ships up to 10,000 gross tons ; any additional tonnage (exceeding 10,000 gross tons) shall be charged at an additional rate of fifteen cents per gross ton provided that the minimum charge for each and every twenty four hours or part thereof

$1,500.00".
