Sir,

I have the honor to refer to an exchange of notes dated December 28, 1962 between myself and the Secretary of State for External Affairs, which constituted an agreement between our two Governments for the establishment and operation of a command and data acquisition station in Canada to serve an operational meteorological satellite system being established by the United States.

On the instructions of my Government, I wish to propose that our two Governments agree to terminate as of the date of your reply, the agreement of December 28, 1962 on this subject. I further wish to propose that if agreeable to your Government this note and your reply to that effect shall constitute an agreement between our two Governments on this subject with effect from the date of your reply.

Accept, Sir, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.

Excellency:

I have the honour to refer to your Note No. 244 dated February 4, 1964, concerning the Exchange of Notes of December 28, 1962, which constituted an agreement between our two governments for the establishment and operation of a command and data acquisition station in Canada to serve an operational meteorological satellite system being established by the United States.

I have the honour to inform you that your proposal to terminate this agreement as of the date of my reply is acceptable to the Government of Canada. I therefore agree to your further proposal that your Note and my reply shall constitute an agreement between our two governments on this subject with effect from this date.

Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
