Moscow, 16 September 1967WHEREAS APN and PIB strive to facilitate the exchange of Information between the two countries, thus to implement the agreements on
cultural exchanges between India and the USSR, and
WHEREAS PIB and APN agree to exchange feature articles, background material and photographs and to cooperate generallyin bringing
about a better understanding between the two countries :
THE undersigned hereby agree :
(a) APN will supply PIB feature articles, background material and photographs to be used as reference material and also to make it
available to such newspapers and periodicals published in India which may request or show interest in such materials ;
(b) PIB will supply to APN feature articles, background material and photographs for distribution among newspapers and periodicals
published in the USSR which are interested and also use the material for reference purposes;
(c) APN will not pay PIB any fees etc., for the supply of feature articles, background material and photographs on India;
(d) In turn APN will supply to PIB free of any charge feature articles, background material and photographs on the USSR;
(e) The Agreement comes into force on October 1st, 1967 for a two-year period and thereafter it will be annually extended automatically
for one year unless either of the parties notifies the other in writing its intention to revise or discontinue the Agreement, but
not later than two months before this Agreement expires.
