When offender subject to suspended sentence is convicted of subsequent offence

240.
(1) Where an offender is convicted of a, subsequent offence committed during the operational period, the court which so convicts him shall order, that the suspended sentence shall take effect either immediately, or noon the expiration of a term of imprisonment which may have been imposed on the offender by such court in respect of the subsequent offence:
(2) Where a court deals with an offender in respect of a suspended sentence passed by another court, the court dealing with the offender shall notify the court which passed the sentence of the manner in which the offender was dealt with.
(3) An order made by a court under this section in respect of a suspended sentence shall, for the purpose of preferring any appeal, be deemed to be a sentence passed on the offender by such court for the which the suspended sentence was originally passed.
