Power of make probation order

251.
(1) Where any person is convicted of any offence, and it appears to the court, having regard to all the circumstances of the case, including the nature of the offence and the character of the offender, that it is expedient so to do, ,the court may make a probation order in respect of the offender instead of sentencing him to any other punishment which the\ court may have power to impose.
(2) Certified copies of the probation order and of any revised order, shall be delivered by court to the offender and to the probation officer named therein (2) The court may require the offender to execute a bond, with or without sureties, to observe the conditions of the order and to appear before the court-whenever required so to do under the provisions of this law.
