Order of Public Trustee for distribution of estate

306.
(1) When an account is finally settled and any part of the estate remains and is ready to be distributed to the creditors, legatees, heirs, next of kin, husband or wife of the testator or intestate, or their assigns, the Public Trustee shall direct the payment and distribution of the same to the persons so entitled, according to their respective rights.
(2) Where a legacy or a share of the estate is payable to a person of unsound mind or a minor, the Public Trustee may, in his discretion, direct the same to be paid to the duly appointed manager or curator of the estate of such person of unsound mind or minor, and where an amount of less than five hundred rupees is so payable to a minor, the same to be applied for the maintenance and education of the minor.
