| 48. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires " affiliated college" means any educational institution in Sri Lanka or abroad or any educational institution managed by a Pirivena recognized and registered as an affiliated college under this Act; " educational institution " means any institution conducting courses for examination of the University; " Higher Educational Institution " has the same meaning as in the Universities Act, No. 16 of 1978 ; " regulation " means any regulation made by the Council under this Act. |
