Bureau Of Ceylon Standards Act (No. 38 of 1964) - Sect 39

Secrecy

39.
(1) No member of the Council or of a committee thereof, or an officer or servant of the Bureau, or inspector or other person who is or was engaged in the administration of this Act, shall disclose to any person except to the Minister, or for the purposes of the performances of his duties or the exercise of his functions, or when required to do so before a court or under any law, any information acquired by him in the performance of his duties or the exercise of his functions.
(2) The disclosure by any person of any information to the Minister or to the Council or any committee or representative thereof or to an inspector or any other person for purposes connected with the administration of this Act shall not prejudice any application subsequently made for a patent.
