Amendment of section 76 of the principal enactment. [ 4, 30 of 1961.] q

5. Section 76 of the principal enactment is hereby amended as follows : -

(a) by the substitution, for subsection (1) of that section, of the following subsection : -

	' (1) Where a cheque bears across its face an addition of two parallel transverse lines, either with or without the words " not negotiable " or or " that addition constitutes a crossing and the cheque is crossed generally.'; and

(b) in subsection (2) of that section, by the substitution, for the words * with or without the words " not negotiable " ', of the following : -
