3. The general objects for which the Corporation Constituted are hereby declared to be: "
| (a) to finance maintain and manage, for the purpose of promoting knowledge, and for furthering the study, of Islam, the Institute called "the Centre for Islamic Studies, Colombo " comprising"
| | (i) the free audio and video tape library on. Islam; | | |
| | (ii) the Islamic reference and research library and a children's library called the " Darul Islam"; | | |

| (b) to organise inter-religious seminars to promote better understanding of the different religions and philosophies of the world; |
|
| (c) to finance, maintain and-manage, for the purpose of promoting knowledge, and for furthering the study of Islam, the Institute called "Centre for Islamic Studies International School " ; |
|
| (d) to establish a bureau, of Islamic Publications called the Darul Islam "'Publications ; |
|
| (e) to do all such other acts and things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects. |
