Code Of Criminal Procedure Act (No. 15 of 1979) - Sect 293

Whipping not to be inflicted unless medical officer certifies that offender is in a fit state of health

296.
(1) The punishment of whipping shall not be inflicted unless the medical officer certifies that the offender | is in a fit state of health to undergo the punishment.
(2) If during the execution of a sentence of whipping the medical officer certifies that the offender is not in a fit state of health to undergo the remainder of the punishment the whipping shall be finally stopped.
