Section 4 of the principal enactment is hereby amended in paragraph (a) of that section, by the substitution for the words " shall, notwithstanding its ordinary powers of punishment/', of the words " shall, if such person has been previously convicted of any offence set out in the First or Second Schedule hereto, committed within a period of five years of the date of commission of the offence for which he is convicted, notwithstanding its ordinary powers of punishment,",. |
