Exchange Control (Amendment) Act (No. 47 of 1957) - Sect 2

Insertion of new section 49A in Chapter 423. [ 2, 47 of 1957.]

2. The Exchange Control Act, hereinafter referred to as " the principal Act", is hereby amended by the insertion immediately after section 49, of the following new section which shall have effect as section 49A, of that Act: -
49A. In any prosecution for the offence of contravening any of the provisions of this Act in relation to foreign currency, it shall be presumed, until the contrary is proved, that the currency in respect of which the offence is alleged to have been committed is genuine. ".
