| 23. In this Part of this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- " financial year " means the period commencing on October 1 in any year and ending on September 30 in the next succeeding year; " General Treasury" means the Department of Government known as the General Treasury; "Hospitals Lotteries Board" means the Hospitals Lotteries Board established under the repealed Hospitals Lotteries Act; "Minister" means the Minister to whom the subject or function of finance is assigned by the Prime Minister under section 46 of the Ceylon (Constitution) Order in Council, 1946; " prescribed " means prescribed by rule made under this Part of this Act. |
