| 56. In this Act unless the context otherwise requires: " agency of the Government " means any body or institution acting on behalf of the Government, whether established by any written law or otherwise; " Government-sponsored Corporation " has the same meaning as in the Government-sponsored Corporations Act; " local authority " means any Municipal Council, Urban Council, Town Council or Village Council;" public officer "has the same meaning as in the Ceylon (Constitution) Order in Council, 1946. |
