2. Section 9 of the Local Authorities Elections Ordinance is hereby amended in subsection (1) thereof as follows: -
| (1) in paragraph (e), by the substitution, for the words " a salary from such authority ", of the words " a salary from such authority, or is a person whose employment by such authority was terminated within a period of one year before the date of the election of members to such authority '': and |

| (2) by the substitution, for paragraph (j), of the following paragraph: -
| | " (j) is a member of the Local Government Service constituted by the Local Government Service Act, No. 18 of 1969: | | |
