13.
| (1) There shall be raised and maintained, in accordance. with the provisions of this Act, a Reserve, to be known as the National Armed Reserve (hereinafter referred to as "the Reserve") which shall consist of such units, and comprise such strength, as the President may from time to time determine. |

| (2) The President shall appoint a fit and proper person to be the Director-General of the Reserve, who shall- be responsible for the administration, training. discipline, efficiency and all other matters relating to the Reserve. |
