Stowaways

132.
(1) If a person, without the consent of the master or of any other person authorized to give it, goes to sea or attempts to go to sea (whether within or outside Ceylon) in a ship registered in Ceylon he shall be guilty of an offence and on conviction thereof shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand rupees, or to imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding six months, or to both such fine and imprisonment.
(2) Nothing in section 290 shall be taken to limit the jurisdiction of any Court in Ceylon to deal with an offence under sub-section (1) which has been committed in a country outside Ceylon by a person who is not a citizen of Ceylon.
