Merchant Shipping Act (No. 52 of 1971) - Sect 158

Signalling lamps

158.
(1) No Ceylon ship, being a ship of over one hundred and fifty tons gross tonnage, shall go to sea on an international voyage, unless the ship is provided with an efficient signalling lamp.
(2) If a ship goes or attempts to go to sea in contravention of sub-section (1), the owner or master thereof shall be guilty of an offence and on conviction thereof shall be liable to a fine not exceeding two hundred rupees.
