Merchant Shipping Act (No. 52 of 1971) - Sect 209

Supplementary provisions relating to detention

209.
(1) An order for the detention, of a ship, whether provisional or final, and any order varying such order, shall be served as soon as may be on the master of the ship.
(2) A ship detained under this Act shall not be released by reason of the Ceylon registry of such ship being closed.
