Measurement Units, Standards And Service Act (No. 35 of 1995) - Sect 34

Weights, Measures &c. used in trade or industry to have their pattern approved by the Laboratory

34. All weights, measures or weighing or measuring instruments used for industry shall have their pattern approved by the laboratory before manufacture or import. The Minister shall have the power to impose requirements have for pattern approval with regard to measuring instruments used for any ether purpose.
