Measurement Units, Standards And Service Act (No. 35 of 1995) - Sect 46

General Powers

46. Any person who commits a breach of any provision of this Act or of any relations made thereunder for which no punishment is expressly provided for shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction after summary trial before a Magistrate be liable to a fine not exceeding five hundred rupees.
