National Gem And Jewellery Authority Act (No. 50 of 1993) - Sect 52

Compounding of offences

52. The Authority may with the consent of the parties having regard to the circumstances in which any offence under this Act was committed compound such offence for a sum not exceeding one-third the maximum fine impossible for that offence. All sums received by the Authority in composition for an offence under this section, shall be credited to the Fund.
