| (1) In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires |

| (2) In this Act " officer" used with reference to any other like institution shall mean an officer of an institution established by or under any written law, who is in receipt of any remuneration, allowance or other benefit out of funds provided by Parliament and includes an officer of any business undertaking that is, or may be, vested in, or acquired by the Government under the Business Undertakings (Acquisition) Act, No. 35 of 1971, and accordingly, any reference to "other like institution" shall mean any institution to which such officer belongs. |
