Pirivena Education Act (No. 64 of 1979) - Sect 27

Certain matters to be prescribed

27.
(1) All matters connected with the conditions of service including the procedure in respect of appointments, dismissals and disciplinary control of teachers and principals, and the payment of salaries shall be as prescribed.
(2) Only male persons shall be eligible for appointment to the staff of a Pirivena either as a teacher or otherwise.
