| 217. Whoever shall wilfully obstruct any officer of a Pradeshiya Sabha in the performance of any duty or in the exercise of any authority vested in or conferred upon him or by virtue of any of the provisions of this Act, or any other enactment, or any by-law or rule, made thereunder, shall be guilty of an offence, and be liable, upon conviction after summary trial before a Magistrate, to a fine not exceeding five hundred rupees, or to imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding six months. |
