| (1) Every employer in the textile manufacturing trade employing not less than one hundred workers shall ,with effect from the relevant date, pay in respect of each month to each unskilled worker a minimum monthly rate of wages amounting to one hundred and eighty rupees, If such worker has worked for at least twenty-five days during the month. |

| (2) The monthly rate of wages referred to in subsection (1) shall be deemed to include the Interim Devaluation Allowance payable under the Interim Devaluation Allowance of Employees Act, No. 40 of 1968, but shall not include the allowances referred to in sections 3 and 4 of this Law. |
