Sri Lanka Standards Institution Act (No. 6 of 1984) - Sect 7

The Chairman of the Council

7.
(1) The Minister shall appoint one of the members of the Council, other than the Director-General as Chairman of the Council.
(2) The Director-General of the Institution shall be the Vice-Chairman of the Council. The Vice-Chairman shall perform the duties of the Chairman hi his absence, or when there is a vacancy in the office of the Chairman.
