The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon, Limited (Special Provisions) Law (No. 28 of 1973) - Sect 18

This Law to prevail over certain instruments, the Public Trustees Ordinance, and the Companies Ordinance

18.
(1) The provisions of this Law shall have effect notwithstanding anything in the memorandum and articles of association of the company.
(2) In the event of any contact or inconsistency between the provisions of this Law and the provisions of the Public Trustees Ordinance or the Companies Ordinance, the provisions of this Law shall prevail over the provisions of any such Ordinance, so, however, that, save as herein before provided, the provisions of the Companies Ordinance shall continue to apply to the company.
