Tertiary And Vocational Education Act (No. 20 of 1990) - Sect 35

Interpretations

35. In this Part of this Act, unless the context otherwise requires " associate degree" means a tertiary education distinction styled "Associate" in the specified branch of learning awarded upon the completion of a minimum of two years of training, being a distinction either
(a) recognized for the purpose of further study in a University or similar institution; or
(b) recognized for the purpose of engaging in an occupation; and
" education " includes training.
