| (1) Initial training for a trainee occupation, shall be given only in accordance with the relevant Training Order, |

| (2) Initial training in occupations other than a trainee occupation shall not be provided for young persons under eighteen years of age, unless it is intended to prepare them for a subsequent course of instruction. |

| (3) With the object of developing and assessing new forms of training and new occupations in respect of which initial training may be given, the Minister may, from time to time on the advice of the Authority and in consultation with the Commission, make regulations under subsection (2) of section 60 prescribing occupations in respect of which initial training may be provided. |
