| 33. In this Law unless the context otherwise requires- " local authority " means any Municipal Council, Urban Council, Town Council, or Village Council ; " management" with its grammatical variations and cognate expressions includes cultivation, replanting, rehabilitation, fertilization, soil conservation and the manufacture, processing, sale and disposal of produce ; " public corporation " means any corporation, board or other body which was or is established by or under any written law, other than the Companies Ordinance, with capital wholly or partly provided by the Government by way of grant, loans or other form ; " sale " includes a sale by sample or grade and a sale for immediate or future delivery ; " state officer " has the same meaning as in the Constitution of the Republic of Sri Lanka, 1972 ; " tea factory " has the same meaning as in the Tea Control Act, No. 51 of 1957 ; and "small holding " has the same meaning as in the Tea Control Act, No. 51 of 1957. |
