22.
| (1) Tobacco Tax Act, No. 27 of 1953 (Chapter 245) is hereby repealed. |

| (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Tobacco Tax Act, No. 27 of 1953-
| | (a) the regulations made under that Act, and in force on the day preceding the date of commencement of this Act shall, except where and insofar as they are not inconsistant with the provisions of this Act be deemed to be regulations made under this Act and shall continue in force until altered, amended or rescinded by regulations made under this Act; | | |
| | (b) all persons registered as manufacturers for the purpose of that Act shall be deemed to be manufactures registered under section 5 of this Act. | | |
