FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION AND AUDIT ACT (CAP. 174)
Public Contracts (Amendment) Regulations, 2006
BY virtue of the powers conferred by article 4 of the Financial Administration and Audit Act, the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance has made the following regulations>-
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Public Contracts (Amendment) Regulations, 2006 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Public Contracts Regulations, 2005, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st January, 2006.
2. Regulation 15 of the principal regulations shall be amended as follows>-
(a) for the words “Lm32,000” and “Lm400,000” in the proviso to sub-regulation (4) (a) thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm34,000” and “Lm428,000” respectively< and
(b) for the words “Lm32,000” in sub-regulation (4) (b)
thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm34,000”.
3. For the words “Lm63,000” in sub-regulation (2) of regulation
54 of the principal regulations, there shall be substituted the words
“Lm58,700”.
4. Sub-regulation (3) of regulation 57 of the principal regulations shall be amended as follows>-
(a) for the words “Lm63,000” in paragraph (a) thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm58,700”< and
(b) for the words “Lm97,000” in paragraph (b) thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm90,400”< and
(c) for the words “Lm97,000” in paragraph (c) thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm90,400”.

5. In sub-regulation (2) of regulation 69 of the principal regulations, for the words “Lm2,448,000” there shall be substituted the words “Lm2,262,800”.
6. Regulation 70 of the principal regulations shall be amended as follows>-
(a) for the words “Lm2,448,000” in sub-regulation (1)
thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm2,262,800”< and
(b) for the words “Lm2,448,000” in sub-regulation 8 (a)
thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm2,262,800”.
7. Item 1 of Schedule 8 to the principal regulations shall be amended as follows>-
(a) for the words “Lm63,000” in paragraph (a) thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm58,700”<
(b) for the words “Lm97,000” in paragraph (b) thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm90,400”< and
(c) for the words “Lm2,448,000” in paragraph (c) thereof, there shall be substituted the words “Lm2,262,800”.
