HOUSING AUTHORITY ACT (CAP. 261)
Housing Authority (Transfer of Assets) ( No. 3) Order, 2003
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 12 of the Housing
Authority Act, the President of Malta has made the following order>-
1. The title of this order in the Housing Authority (Transfer of
Assests) ( No. 3) Order, 2003.
2. The property described in article 4 of this order is hereby specified for the purpose of article 12 of the Housing Authority Act.
3. The property specified in article 2 of this order shall be transferred and vest in the Housing Authority as provided in the article aforesaid with effect from the 6th June, 2003.
4. The property referred to in article 2 of this order is the following, that is to say>
(1) A block of buildings consisting of 24 maisonettes and
86 grages in Triq Robert Baden Powell, Triq l-Imnarja and Triq Florence
Nightingale, at Bir]ebbu;a as follows>
(a) the said maisonettes are all accessible separately from an external door, where maisonettes numbered 1 to 12 accessible from a common passage accessible by stairs from Triq Robert Baden Powell and by ramp from Triq Florence Nightingale, and maisonettes numbered 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 42A and 44 accessible from Triq l-Imnarja<
(b) the said garages are at basement level and at gound floor level< garages 1 to 60 are at basement level, and all garages, except garages numbered 1 and 60, are accessible from a common area which is accessible from Triq Robert Baden Powell and Triq Florence Nightingale. Garage numbered 60 is accessible externally from Triq Robert Baden Powell while garage numbered 1 is accessible from Triq Florence Nightingale. Garages 61 to 86 are at ground level, underlying maisonettes 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36,
38, 40, 42, 42A and 44, and said garages are accessible from a common area which is accessible from Triq l-Imnarja.
The boundaries of the said buildings also include common areas, passages, front gardens and other property shown edged red on P.D. 63_2003, and the said block is built on Government property and is bounded on the North by Triq Robert Baden Powell, on the South by Triq Florence Nightingale and on the West by Triq l-Imnarja. (HAM 12#97 vol. ii) .
(2) A block of building known as Block G and 40 garages in a public road, sited at {al Farru;, limits of Luqa, as follows-
(a) the said Block G consists of six flats and four shops, the flats numbered 1 to 6 being accessible from an internal door in a common area accessible from an external door bearing Block G in a public open space, and the shops are all accessible from an external door numbered 1 to 4 in a public open space<
(b) the said forty garages numbered 1 to 40 are accessible externally from a public road and underlie Government property.
The whole Block G and said garages are erected on Government property formerly part of Ex Services property 16561 and are all shown edged red on L.D. 74#82#4. (HAM 4#94).
(3) A plot of land having an area of approximately 153.56 square metres, known as Plot No. 93 in Triq Napuljun Caruana Dingli, forming part of the Government Housing Estate, limits of Mellie[a, bounded on the North-East by property of A. Sammut, on the East by Triq Napuljun Caruana Dingli and on the North-West by property of M. Tonna et, on which are built premises bearing number 3, also known as “Angora”, Triq Napuljun Caruana Dingli, Mellie[a, as indicated edged red and marked P.93 on plan L.D. 383#91#9. (HAM 10#2002).
(4) A plot of land having an area of approximately 161 square metres, known as Plot No. 163 in Triq Vincenzo Ciappara, forming part of the Government Housing Estate, limits of Mellie[a, bounded on the North-West by property of J.M. Bartolo, on the South- West by Triq Vincenzo Ciappara and on the North-East by property of M. Bartolo, on which are built premises bearing number 163, Triq Vincenzo Ciappara, Mellie[a, as indicated edged red and marked P.163 on plan L.D. 383#91#10. (HAP 12#2002).
(5) A plot of land having an area of approximately 1,029 square metres, forming part of Ta’ Mliet Government Housing Estate, Mosta, and bounded on the North by property transferred to the Housing Authority, on the South by Triq il-Waqqafa, and on the East by property transferred to the Housing Authority, which land is indicated edged red on P.D. 203_80_18. (HAM 103#88).

(6) A block consisting of 12 maisonettes and 36 garages at Tas-Sag[jtar, limits of Naxxar. The said maisonettes are all accessible separately from an external door bearing numbers 1 to 12, situated in a public open space. Garages numbered 13 to 36 have a separate entrance from a common area, which area is accessible from Triq iç-?iek and underlie in part the mentioned maisonettes. The whole block is bounded on the North-West by Triq l-G]akkies, on the South-West by Triq il- Bra]il and on the South-East by Triq iç-?iek, and is shown edged red on P.D. 142_81_26. (HAM 4#97).
(7) A block consisting of six maisonettes and six garages at San :wann. The maisonettes are all accessible separately from external doors numbered 22, 28, 34 and 36 in Triq iç-?awsli, and doors numbered
29 and 35 in Triq ir-Rummien. The garages are all accessible separately
from external doors numbered 1 to 6, garages 24, 26, 30 and 32 being sited in Triq iç-?awsli and garages 31 and 33 in Triq ir-Rummien and underlying the said maisonettes. The block is bounded on the North by Triq iç-?awsli, on the West by property belonging to third parties, and on the South by Triq ir-Rummien, and said boundaries also include ramps leading to garages and front gardens all shown edged red on P.D. 135_81_52. (HAM 13#95).
(8) A plot of land having an area of approximately 137 square metres, forming part of the Government Housing Estate, San
:wann, and bounded on the North by property of E. Vassallo, on the
South by Triq il-Fresja, and on the East by Triq il-Qronfol, on which are built premises bearing number 33, Triq il-Qronfol, San :wann, and which land is indicated edged red and marked P.33 on L.D. 128#80#24. (HAP 9#2002).
(9) A plot of land having an area of approximately 149 square metres, forming part of Dawret it-Torri, Government Housing Estate, Santa Lucia, and bounded on the North-West by Government property # Triq in-Narçis, on the South-West by Government property, and on the South-East by Dawret it-Torri, on which are built premises bearing number 71, Dawret it-Torri, Santa Lucia, and which land is indicated edged red and marked P. 80 on L.D. 11#82#71. (HAP 11#2002).
(10) A block of building consisting of six maisonettes and seven garages at Si;;iewi. The maisonettes are all accessible separately from an external door numbered 1 to 6. Maisonettes numbered 1, 3, 7,
11 and 15 are situated in Triq Kircher and maisonette numbered 33 in
Triq Ta’ Brandin. The garages are all accessible separately from an external door numbered 1 to 7. Garages numbered 29, 31 and 35 are situated in Triq Ta’ Brandin and garages numbered 5, 9, 13 and 17 are situated in Triq Kircher and underlying the said maisonettes. The said
block has been erected on Government property and is bounded on the North-West by Triq Ta’ Brandin, on the South-West by Triq Kircher and on the South-East by property of unknown users. The said maisonettes and garages are shown edged red on P.D. 156_82_4. (HAM
37#97 vol. 2).
(11) A block of building consisting of five blocks B1 to B5 having 39 apartments, 36 garages, two shops and a sub-station in Triq il-Porzjunkola corner with a public open space and corner with Triq il-Frejgatina, St Paul’s Bay, as follows>-
(a) Block B1 consists of seven apartments all of which are accessible from an internal door numbered 1 to 7 accessible from a common entrance bearing Block B1 in Triq il-Porzjunkola<
(b) Each of Blocks B2, B3 and B4 consist of eight apartments all of which are accessible from an internal door numbered 1 to 8 and accessible from common entrances bearing Block (entrance) B2, B3 and B4 in a public open space<
(c) The apartment Blocks B1, B2, B3 and B4 are also accessible from the common area underlying the said whole block<
(d) Blocks B5 consists of eight apartments all of which are accessible from an internal door numbered 1 to 8 and accessible from a common entrance bearing Block B5 in Triq il-Frejgatina<
(e) Garages numbered 1 to 32 each have a separate entrance from a common area, which area is accessible from Triq il-Frejgatina and underlying apartments and garages 33 to 36<
(f) Garages 33 to 36 are accessible externally from Triq il-Porzjunkola<
(g) The sub-station is accessible from Triq il-Frejgatina, underlying part of apartment of Block B5<
(h) Two shops numbered 1 and 2 are accessible from a public open space and underlie part of Blocks B2, B3 and B4.
The building is bounded on the South-East by a public open space, on the South-West by Triq il-Porzjunkola and on the North- East by Triq il-Frejgatina, and the whole block is shown edged red on P.D. 61_2003. (HAM 11#93 vol. v).

(12) A block of building consisting of five blocks A1 to A5 consisting of 32 apartments, 30 garages and seven shops in Triq il- Porzjunkola corner with Triq il-Qawra corner with Triq il-Frejgatina, Qawra, St Paul’s Bay, as follows>-
(a) Blocks A2, A3 and A4 consist of six apartments accessible from an internal door numbered 1 to 6, accessible from a common entrance bearing Block A2, A3 and A4 in Triq il-Qawra<
(b) Blocks A1 and A5 consist of seven apartments accessible from an internal door numbered 1 to 7, accessible from a common entrance bearing Block A1 and A5 in Triq Porzjunkola and Triq il-Frejgatina respectively<
(c) Block A2, A3, A4 and A5 are also accessible from the common area underlying the said block<
(d) Garages numbered 1 to 29 each have a separate entrance from a common area, which area is accessible from Triq il-Frejgatina. The said garages underlie the said apartments and shops<
(e) Garage numbered 30 is accessible from Triq il- Frejgatina<
(f) Shops numbered 1 to 7 are accessible from a common passage which is accessible from public open space.
The building is bounded on the South-East by Triq il-Qawra, on the South-West by Triq il-Porzjunkola and on the North-East by Triq il-Frejgatina and the said boundaries also include common areas and passages, the whole block being shown edged red on P.D. 61_2003_A. (HAM 11#93 vol. v).
(13) A block of 14 garages underlying Block K at Ta’ Giorni, limits of St Julians, all having a separate entrance from a common area which is accessible from a public road. The said garages underlie Government property and are bounded on the East and on the West by a public passage, and on the South by a public road, including all common areas, shown edged red on P.D. 216_81_32. (HAM 3#97).
(14) A block of building consisting of eight maisonettes and 11 underlying garages in Triq Erminia Cilia Abela and Triq Mons. Luigi Catania, at }abbar. The said maisonettes are all accessible separately from an external door numbered 1 to 8, of which doors numbered 1 to 4 are situated in Triq Mons. Luigi Catania, and doors numbered 5 to 8 are situated in Triq Erminia Cilia Abela. The said
garages numbered 1 to 11 are all accessible from a common area which is situated in Triq Mons. Luigi Catania and underlie the said maisonettes. The block is bounded on the North-West by Triq Erminia Cilia Abela, on the North-East by Triq :u]eppi Vella, and on the South-East by Triq Mons. Luigi Cilia, which boundaries also include ramp, common area and land as all shown edged red on P.D. 97_90_2. (HAM 35#98 vol. 2).
(15) A block consisting of one maisonette, one garage and two shops at Tal-Bebbux, limits of }urrieq. The said maisonette is accessible from a separate entrance in Triq Napuljun, and the garage underlying the said maisonette is at ground floor level, has a separate entrance and is situated in Triq Napuljun. The said two shops are also at ground floor level underlying the said maisonettes, have a separate entrance and are situated in Triq Napuljun. The said block is bounded on the South-East by Triq Napuljun, on the North-West by property of unknown owners, and on the South-West by Government property. (HAM 15#97).
