LAW OF THE SEA (RATIFICATION) ACT

To authorise the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the

Law of the Sea.

Enacted by ACT XII of 1993.

(14th May, 1993)*

l. This Act may be cited as the Law of the Sea (Ratification) Act, 1993.

2. In this Act the "Convention" means the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea signed at Montego Bay, Jamaica on 10th December, 1982.

3. For the purposes of the Ratification of Treaties Act, the ratifi c ation of t h e Conv ent i on b y th e G overnment is hereb y authorised.

Short title. Interpretation.
